SHORT DESCRIPTION
The main distinguishing feature of rack–mounted power supplies is the ability to turn on multiple sources in parallel. An additional communication channel ensures an even distribution of currents between several sources, and a protective ORing diode or Mosfet provides the possibility of "hot" replacement of the source in the array, which ensures uninterrupted operation of the system even in case of failure of one of its components.
